Founded in 2013 in San Francisco during the app innovation boom, DoorDash is an online delivery demand aggregator. Consumers use its app to place on-demand orders from partner merchants, choosing either delivery or pickup. Through its 2022 acquisition of Wolt, the company also operates in Europe and Asia. DoorDash creates an online marketplace for merchants to market their products and fulfill delivery orders. It provides similar services for non-food businesses, including groceries, retail, and pet supplies. DashMart has also introduced emerging technologies such as drone delivery to continuously innovate and deliver the best possible service to both supply and demand sides in its marketplace.
