Insulet Corporation, founded in 2000, aims to make continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion therapy more accessible for diabetes patients. Its flagship product, the Omnipod system, is a small, disposable insulin delivery device that can be controlled via smartphone to manage dosing. Since receiving FDA approval in 2005, the Omnipod has been adopted by more than 600,000 insulin-dependent diabetes patients worldwide.
